Automating the Process with eSolutions
Unitek Technical Services Supply Chain Management has always sought to provide our Customers with an integrated approach to fulfilling their technical procurement and Quality-related needs.As part of this concept we constantly strive to be cutting edge with our internal information and data systems.
We pioneered the first version of e-Solutions in 1995 and our command center has been using this tool to manage supplier activity since that time. Now in its fifth version release, eSolutions is a web based system that allows Clients, Suppliers and Technical Specialists to access data real time.
The system is used by suppliers to request service and Clients to access information and reports related to their program .

As a result of this launch system, developed exclusively by our IT Department, we have been able to reduce our turn around time on incoming requests, and remove the manual steps from our data and record retention process. This has allowed us to work more efficiently on behalf of our Customers and to drive the cost out of our process while still maintaining the integrity of our system. We are commited to using e-commerce to the fullest extent.
Supplier Registration
The first step in the process is establishing your suppliers in eSolutions, many of which may already be using the system with our existing Clients. We will register each supplier and assign them User IDs and Passwords. This initial registration will take place as each supplier places their first request for source surveillance in the system. Once a supplier is equipped with a User ID and Password, they may submit all future requests on-line. We will also maintain a backup system utilizing fax capability for suppliers who do not have ready access to the internet.
System Visibility
The primary benefit of eSolutions, outside of the obvious cost advantages, is the increased visibility that it provides to our Client's representatives. No longer is it necessary for Customer's to contact suppliers and our Command Center in an effort to determine the status of an activity that has been requested or scheduled. Our system allows real time visibility to the status of each and every request.
Each designated Client representative will also be assigned a User ID and Password. Your representatives will then be able to view whether a request for service has been placed, and the current status of that request. Additionally comments may be made between Buyers, Suppliers, and the Command Center.
